07/2023: The mummified person in the care of the Spurlock Museum has been removed from display as our staff seeks to better understand the historic chain of events that led to the child being in our care. Some content has been obscured from this post out of respect for the individual.
Have you visited our Egypt: "The Gift of the Nile" exhibit lately? If not, you might not have seen our updated exhibit related to our Roman period mummy. New exhibit labels show what we’ve learned as a result of recent research, including CAT scan results and facial reconstructions. We hope that you’ll stop by and take a look!
