Description

This Greek coin is a silver Stater from Kelederis in modern day Turkey. It was struck in the mid to late 5th century BCE. The obverse is a naked rider, with a whip in his left hand, seated sideways on a prancing horse, about to dismount. The reverse is a goat kneeling, looking back.
