Smithsonian Magazine's Museum Day Live! 2016

The Spurlock Museum joins Smithsonian magazine in the celebration of its annual Museum Day event. On this day, over 1200 museums and cultural institutions nationwide open their doors free of charge to visitors with special tickets. Some of the participating institutions, like the Spurlock Museum, have daily free admission, but support the spirit of the day by passing along event information to their building and online visitors.

To gain free entry to a participating venue that regularly charges admission, participants must present Smithsonian magazine’s Museum Day Admission Ticket. The ticket can be downloaded at the Smithsonian’s Museum Day website (external link). The ticket is good for regular admission for two people to one specific venue (designated by the visitor) on Museum Day only.
