Crafternoon at Spurlock: Ireland Map Collage and Irish Fish of Wisdom

Crafters can make a collage in the shape of Ireland, using paper colors that appear in medieval manuscripts such as those on display in the new special exhibit, Medieval Irish Masterpieces in Modern Reproduction.Participants can also use markers and Celtic designs to decorate an aluminum foil fish, inspired by the Irish folktale “The Salmon of Knowledge” and read the book that tells this fun folktale.

Crafternoon is a weekday hands-on crafting program for museum visitors of all ages, with projects designed by the Museum's Education Section students to range skill levels from the youngest visitors up to adults.

The program runs each Tuesday afternoon from October 4 through November 15th in the Zahn Learning Center.
