Crafternoon at Spurlock: Masks

A variety of materials (felt, tissue, paper, beads, gold doilies) will be available for decoration of one of three masks inspired by artifacts in the Spurlock Museum permanent exhibits: a Barong Ket (Balinese Lion), African gazelle, or an Egyptian mummy cartonnage mask. Teaching artifacts will be on display to provide inspiration.

Crafternoon is a weekday hands-on crafting program for museum visitors of all ages, with projects designed by the Museum's Education Section students to range skill levels from the youngest visitors up to adults.

The program runs each Tuesday afternoon from October 4 through November 15th in the Zahn Learning Center.
