Special Event

Spurlock Time Machine: Archaeology Afternoon

The family friendly Spurlock Time Machine squeezes thousands of years of history into your summer as it invites you to get wrapped up in Ancient Egypt (June 11), sift through history with archaeologists (July 9), and step back into historic Urbana (August 13) on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 1:00–3:30pm.

Learn about the many ways archaeologists uncover the human past: touch artifacts, talk to archaeologists, identify ancient clues.

Spurlock Summer Sundays

The Spurlock Museum is hosting free weekly summer events fit for everyone in the family! The events range from performances to interactive activities along with special tours of the museum.

Spurlock Summer Sundays will span from Memorial Day through Labor Day and will rotate among three free series: Cultural Celebrations, Spurlock Time Machine, and Sunday Splash.
