Arts Explorations: Fabergé-Inspired Eggs

Arts Explorations are themed art projects for adults and older kids. Sample projects include Valentines, Faberge-inspired Easter eggs, and Japanese cloth folding. These activities are on the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Spurlock Sundays

The Spurlock Museum hosts weekly winter and spring programs for the whole family!

These events include hands-on artifacts, crafts, and mini-tours of the Museum. Spurlock Sundays cover 3 different series: Artifact Encounters, Arts Explorations, and the Spurlock Time Machine. The programs run every Sunday through May, 1:00–3:30 pm.

Artifact Encounters will be held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of each month from January 7 through May 20. Get up close on mini-tours of exhibits and collections, try hands-on artifacts, and go head to head with your friends playing some new multicultural board games.

The Spurlock Time Machine travels through thousands of years of history as it explores Ancient Rome (January 28), UIUC student life (February 25), American Indian cultures (March 25), Ancient China (April 22), and historic games (May 27). The Time Machine touches down on the 4th Sunday of the month.
