Museum Mingle

Did you know there are 4 museums on the University of Illinois campus? The Krannert Art Museum, the Sousa Archives and Center for American Music, the Pollinatarium, and the Spurlock Museum bring arts, science, and cultures to our local community. The participating museums are members of the Champaign County Museums Network, which includes 10 institutions in the county.

On January 18 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, the Spurlock Museum will host an information fair where visitors can meet staff members from these museums, try educational activities for all five senses, and learn more about exhibits, programs, events, and other services for the people of Central Illinois.

Third Thursday / Knowledge at Work

The program is part of the Third Thursday Series and is held in conjunction with the Spurlock Museum’s temporary exhibit Knowledge at Work: The University of Illinois at 150. This exhibit explores the history of campus as a community of educators, researchers, and students engaged in learning, research, and public service. Learn about the contributions of a wide variety of people and groups to campus history and ways the University has changed how it relates to the people it serves. The exhibit runs through December 21, 2018.
