Talk: Contemporary Conversations

The Spurlock Museum of World Cultures’ new series Contemporary Conversations instigates conversations about contemporary cultural issues, themes, and ideas relevant to the University of Illinois and the C-U community.

The first program in the series, Cultural Stereotyping, is scheduled for Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 4:00 pm and features a discussion with SleepyEye LaFromboise (Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota and Tonawanda Seneca tribes), Cultural Educator; Araceli Diaz, Assistant Director of La Casa Cultural Latina; Patrick Hammie, Associate Professor of Painting and Sculpture in the School of Art + Design; Angela Williams, Associate Director, Center for South Asian and Middle Eastern Studies; and moderator Elisabeth Stone, Director of Education, Spurlock Museum.
