Illinois: An Epic Landscape

The exhibit Illinois: An Epic Landscape highlights the stunning array of biological diversity found in Illinois, and targets the unique Cache River basin. The Cache is a primeval landscape of cypress/tupelo swamps and lowland forests that support some of the largest and oldest trees east of the Mississippi River. It is the domain of unique plants and animals more commonly encountered in the bayous of Louisiana.
