On this journey you begin by traveling down the road from your friend’s house to one of the village temples. Outside you meet a priest who explains to you that in the Balinese Hindu worldview, the universe and the body are both buana (worlds); the universe is the “big world,” the body is the “little world.” Temples, houses, and rice fields are also understood as “bodies.”
