Alison Murray sits with a pair of giant knitting needles
Alison Murray of Devon, England, loves making knitted sculptures. Her life-size "Alice in Wonderland" and "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" sets are part of the collections at the Irish National Knitting Museum in Buncranna. Her work has graced the cover of London's "Bella Magazine." She has toured Japan twice with her collections.

In 2005, Alison's personal interest took her to new heights. From March to December that year, she organized the creation of the world's largest knitted Christmas tree. Standing twenty-eight feet high, the tree was a fundraising project for the North Devon Hospice. Over £10,000 was collected for this cause.
