Spurlock Volunteer Recognition 2005

The Spurlock Museum's 2005 Volunteer Recognition

July 13, 2005

More than 50 volunteers, friends, and family braved the heat to join in the picnic.

This summer, Spurlock Museum staff and students hosted our volunteers at a picnic in honor of all their hard work an accomplishments in the preceeding year. In 2004, volunteers contributed almost 3,000 hours of service to the Museum in a variety of projects.

But as the lively conversations and happy faces at the picnic attest, the most meaningful gifts from our wonderful volunteer crew are the people themselves. Full of diverse talents and cheerful personalities, over 60 active volunteers make the Museum a wonderful place to visit-and to work! It was our pleasure to give them an evening to enjoy themselves and get to know one another better-just as we enjoy them all year.
