DESCRIPTION:"\rAsian American Studies Program\r\rTo commemorate this important moment and to recognize the important strides the Asian American Studies Program has made over its first ten years, a one-day anniversary celebration has been organized.\r\rThe keynote speaker for the event is an alumnus of the Journalism Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. K.W. Lee (MS, Journalism, 1955) is an award-winning investigative journalist/activist, famous for his newspaper articles on the Chol Soo Lee case and for founding the Koreatown Weekly. In addition to his keynote talk, a panel discussing the history of the Asian American Studies Program and its future, as well as a reception, with live music from the Chip McNeill Jazz Quartet will be part of the festivities.\r\rMuseum visitors are reminded that food and drinks are not allowed in the Museum. Backpacks and other large items brought to the Museum will have to be stored; there is limited locker storage space\r"
