Timed to coincide with Cunningham’s centenary, the film throws light on the mysteries of dance-making, as it reveals what it takes to keep a dance alive.\r\rIf the Dancer Dances will be immediately preceded by a screening of Lil Buck with Icons of Modern Art at 6:55 PM.\r\rThis event is part of the Flatlands Dance Film Festival. Each fall, Dance at Illinois presents a variety of films and shorts dedicated to dance performance, dance for camera, influential artists in the field, and the social impact of dance across the world. The Flatlands Dance Film Festival is also host to a film competition for aspiring dance filmmakers.
