SUMMARY;LANGUAGE=en-us:"Online Trivia Night: AIDS and Other Infectious Diseases\r"
DESCRIPTION:"\rWe invite you to join us in solidarity to celebrate the Spurlock Museum exhibit Sewn in Memory: AIDS Quilt Panels from Central Illinois, with a night of trivia designed to raise awareness, expand understanding, and spark joy and build community. Rounds will test your knowledge about HIV/AIDS and the history of AIDS activism, and we'll even delve into the confounding cures we humans have tried to treat disease from antiquity to the present! So gather your friends, select a team name, and sign up today.\r\rHow to PlayEach team needs a name, 1 captain, and up to 5 other players. Team members do not need to be located in the C-U area—feel free to bring together friends and family from across the country to join in the trivial fun. \rRegistrationSign up by 9:00 am the day of the game, and a Zoom invite to the event will be sent by noon that day. \rRegister\rAbout the ExhibitSewn in Memory: AIDS Quilt Panels from Central Illinois exhibit will display approximately 20 quilt panels made for the national AIDS Memorial Quilt in the 1980s and early 1990s. They commemorate local people who died of AIDS and were created by friends and families. The panels are held by the Greater Community AIDS Project of East Central Illinois. Research and programming for this exhibit is in collaboration with GCAP and History Harvest, a class in the Department of History at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The exhibit runs through July 10, 2021 and is supported by the Dr. Allan C. and Marlene S. Campbell Fund. \r"
