This tradition will be celebrated at American Indian Matriarchs through History, the Museum’s annual Winter: A Time of Telling event. This storytelling and drum concert will be held at 1 PM in the Spurlock Museum’s Knight Auditorium, Saturday, February 7th. Performers for the event will be Susan K. Power and Kelly Gilbreth, joined by featured teller Paula Gunn Allen. Admission is $5, seating is limited, and reservations are required. The concert is presented by the Spurlock Museum and is co-sponsored by The Newberry Library, Red Path Theater, American Indian Center, Native American Educational Services College, and a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency. It is presented as part of an annual series of cultural events endowed by Reginald and Gladys Laübin in support of the Laübin Gallery of American Indian Cultures.\r"
