An Artifact Speaks: Egypt Kit

Activities in this box continue the development of observation skills through artifact discussions and reconstructing broken pottery. A recording of a folktale performance about an Egyptian prince is included. Activities follow a 6th grade social studies curriculum but are usable by instructors in many grades and disciplines. There is no fee for the loan of these materials.

Included Objects

The Egypt includes canopic jars, a rosetta stone, papyrus sheets, large bags containing broken plates and pieces of plastic, artifact information sheets, lesson plans, and a CD recording of the folktale, "The Egyptian Prince". Activity videos are available below.
