Zahn Learning Center Open Hours: Tablet of Ahkmenrah
- Event Date: Saturday, July 25, 2015
- Time: 1:00 pm–4:00 pm (CDT)
- Location: Zahn Learning Center, Spurlock Museum, 600 S. Gregory St., Urbana, IL
- Cost: $2 per crafter
Inspired by the Night at the Museum film series, ZLC staff invite visitors to create their own cardboard "Tablet of Ahkmenrah" using hieroglyph stamps and paint. Crafters will have an opportunity to "power" their tablet at a moonlight charging station to ensure the strength and longevity of its magical powers. After tablet charging, visitors can enjoy other Egyptian themed activities, including puzzles and a pyramid craft. For more information about Ancient Egypt, visit the Egyptian Gallery to see the museum’s collection of Egyptian artifacts. Museum admission is free, and weekend parking is free in un-metered spots in lot D 22 behind the museum (enter on Oregon).
