Zahn Learning Center Open Hours: LED crafts

Enhance your Spurlock Museum experience with activities in the Zahn Learning Center. During ZLC Open Hours (ZLC OH), visitors can enjoy exhibit or cultural-related crafts, and access to teaching artifacts and books. $2 per crafter to cover materials. Weekend parking is free in non-metered, non-reserved spots in lot D 22, behind the Museum (enter lot on Oregon).

Add some light back in after daylight savings time by connecting a watch battery with a visible LED bulb (invented by professor Nick Holonyak who spent 50 years teaching at UI). Make a simple circuit with a removable cardboard "on and off" tab. $2 per crafter; museum admission is free, and parking is free in lot D22 behind the museum (in non-metered, non-reserved spaces).
