Drag Weekend: And the Answer is...Fabulous!

This two-part event begins with drag-based trivia presented by Julie Laut of CU Lockdown Trivia and Nicole Frydman of Uniting Pride of Champaign County. After a short intermission, local drag queens will delight audience members with their musical performances. The show features performers Sharon ShareAlike, Ava ShareAlike, Annie Hart, Ceduxion Carrington, and The First Lady of Champaign Urbana, Mona Monclair.
This event is intended for an adult audience.
The second event, “Art with a Queen,” will be held on Sunday, July 24 from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. During this family event, Annie Hart will lead participants in making a variety of handmade artworks they can take home with them. All ages are welcome.
Drag Weekend events are part of a continuing collaboration with local drag artists, many of whom were featured in the 2019–20 temporary exhibit In Her Closet—How to Make a Drag Queen. The Museum has also collaborated with CU Lockdown Trivia on a series of trivia events held in conjunction with other Spurlock exhibits.
