Native American Heritage Month: Gamma Delta Pi: Promoting Sisterhood Among Native Women at a Historically White Institution

Sedelta Oosahwee (Cherokee/Mandan, Hidatsa & Arikara Nation) will share experiental reflections about co-founding a Native American sorority, Gamma Delta Pi (GDP), at the University of Oklahoma. By engaging the medicine wheel, a circular model representing interconnectedness and the evolution of life, Sedelta will explore the role of GDP in creating cultural capital to navigate a Non-Native university setting.
