Film: "The Good Boss"

Join the European Union Center for a free screening of the film The Good Boss (Fernando León de Aranoa, 2021). Starring Javier Bardem, this film was nominated for a record number of Goya Awards (the Academy Awards of Spain), and it closed last year's Chicago European Union Film Festival.

About the Film

The Good Boss is a comedy-drama that reflects on toxic and paternalistic corporate mindsets. Julio Blanco (Javier Bardem) is the charismatic and manipulative CEO of a small family-run factory of industrial scales in rural Spain. Having been nominated to win a business award, Julio will do anything to ensure his current and former employees do not prevent him from winning the award.

This event is free and open to the public but is not intended for younger audiences.
