Improvisers Exchange and Nick Rudd Music Experience present: The Bridge #2.6.
The Bridge #2.6 is Cancel Rescue Mission, a quartet featuring Quentin Biardeau and Etienne Ziemniak on one side, Corey Wilkes and Justin Dillard on the other. Collectively they represent the freedom to give all of themselves when everything is allowed, reflective of the dynamic artist organizations they represent: the TriCollectif in Orleans, the CapsulCollectif in Tours, and the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians in Chicago. This quartet mines deep, surveying the depths of collective sound, creating music for volcanologists.
Established in 2013, The Bridge (external link) fosters creative trans-Atlantic collaboration among a growing network of artists from France and Europe with those in Chicago and United States all at the forefront of improvised music and jazz avantgarde.
The Bridge is supported by Ministère de la Culture, Sacem, Centre National de la Musique, Spedidam, Adami, Institut Français, Experimental Sound Studio & University of Chicago.
