Film Screening: Fidan

Ayçıl Yeltan’s austere debut follows 13-year-old Fidan as she leaves her Anatolian village for Istanbul’s harsh realities. Shot against sweeping Turkish landscapes, the film explores loss, resilience, and the price of education. Critic Atilla Dorsay calls it “a magnificent first step into cinema.”
