This concert celebrates the 40th anniversary of the original Farm Aid, which X performed at in Champaign back in 1985.
John Doe’s influence reaches far beyond the groundbreaking work of X. Named one of Rolling Stone’s “Greatest Artists of All Time,” X helped define the Los Angeles punk scene of the late ’70s and early ’80s with their fiery sound and poetic songwriting. As a solo artist, John Doe has released acclaimed records blending punk roots with Americana and folk, earning praise as a songwriter, actor, and cultural voice.
