Join us for a special guided tour centered around this university's connection to the timeworn artifacts in the Spurlock Museum. There are plenty of ways the ancient (and not so ancient) world can be reflected across our campus, in ways you may never have even realized. We will discuss the origins of the land we are on, the significance of the Alma Mater Statue as it relates to Ancient Greece, the cultural houses and their contributions to the museum, the University of Illinois Ambulance Unit’s participation in WWI, and more unique connections! Bring your Illini spirit and be ready to learn more about the ancient influences across our campus.
