Museums hold all types of material culture in their collections. Many of these materials are examples of historic or aesthetic significance. Others may have been created for religious or social ceremonies. All reflect what mattered to creators and echoed their cultural values. Visual artists hold a significant place within culture. They use a range of visual media to explore, question, and communicate ideas. In a follow up to the September 15th Facilitating Dialogue around Objects of Hate, this program examines how visual artists create works that interrogate, reimagine, or repurpose objects and imagery associated with hate.
