Poetry Writing and Open Mic for Unfinished Revolutions

Unfinished Revolutions: Living Stories of American Rights explores the ongoing struggle to define and expand the meaning of freedom in America.
This Poetry for Unfinished Revolutions program will be hosted by Dr. Misha Frazier and she will facilitate participants through improvised poetry writing inspired by the exhibit. All created poetry will be added to the exhibit’s zine.
The evening continues with a revolutionary-themed open mic. Share an original poem or one from another writer. The open mic begins at 7:00 pm.
Participants can sign up ahead of time or at the door.
About Misha Frazier
Dr. Misha Frazier (she/her/Doc) is a Certified Sexologist, scholar-activist, and poet that has been sharing art as a tool for resistance for over a decade. The New Orleans native’s approach to spoken word merges authenticity and storytelling to immerse audiences in the experience. She is also the Founder of Misha’s Room, a community for intentional reflection, education, and exploration that uses creative expression to dismantle oppressive norms.
