Bolokada Conde and Rhythm Manding: International Education Week Concert

West African drumming at its absolute best! The Spurlock Museum presents world-renowned Master Drummer Bolokada Conde and his performance group Rhythm Manding as part of the University’s celebration of International Education Week: April 11–17, 2011.

Bolokada Conde is an amazing drummer whose energy and outgoing performance style draw listeners of all ages into the music. In this concert, he and his troupe of musicians bring you traditional rhythms of the Malinke people that will make your heart sing, and contemporary African pop music that will make you feel like dancing. Recognized as one of the world’s foremost drummers, Bolokada is currently teaching West African Drumming at the University of Illinois.
