"9 Chains..." Concert

The Illinois Japan Performing Arts Network (IJPAN) presents a performance of “9 Chains...” a new music and video composition by Gene Coleman. Drawing on modern Japanese architecture for his inspiration, Coleman’s pieces combine traditional Japanese and contemporary musical instruments into an original sound. The evening will also feature solo performances on the koto and sho (traditional Japanese string instruments), and a shorter composition by Coleman entitled “Tenchi.” The program will be performed by the Ensemble N_JP.

This event is free and open to everyone. IJPAN will webcast “9 Chains...” live on the IJPAN website (external link).
