Enhance your Spurlock Museum experience with hands-on activities in the Zahn Learning Center. During ZLC Open Hours (ZLC OH), visitors of all ages enjoy engaged learning through exhibit or cultural-related crafts, and access to teaching artifacts and books. $2 per crafter to cover materials. Weekend parking is free in non-metered, non-reserved spots in lot D 22, behind the Museum (enter lot on Oregon).
Add some light back in after daylight savings by connecting a watch battery and a visible LED bulb (invented by professor Nick Holonyak who spent 50 years teaching at UI). Build a circuit with an on and off switch and your bulb will light up instantly when activated.
