Research Remarks

Description

Ovoid body, perforated handle, round bottom. Petals arranged in a circle on flat surface of mouth and on bottom of vase. Rays on the neck. On the body panther-bird with frontal head and wings which nearly touch on reverse of base. Details incised, rosette fillers. -- Wisseman, Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum, Plate 3, 1-2.
