Research Remarks

Description

Apulian Gnathia. -
Shape and Ornament - Ovoid body, slightly flaring foot. Shoulder: tongues, band which loops below handle. Body: oblique cross-hatching bordered above and below by bands. Around lower body is a broad band.
Accessory Colors - Red: band on lower body. White: tongues, cross-hatching bands. Yellow : band below handle. -- Wisseman, Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum, Plate 61, 4.
