Description

"Marble slab inscribed with a report drawn up, in 409 B.C., by commissioners appointed to enquire into the progress of the building of the Erechtheum on the Acropolis of Athens." British Museum.

"Upper part of a marble stele recording the first report of the Commission appointed to complete the Erechtheum. The report contains a survey of the unfinished parts of the temple, an inventory of building materials on the site, and an account of new construction initiated by the Commission."
