Research Remarks

Description

Rogers: A thick haematite seal, one third of which is void of engraving. Shamash is pictured atanding on a mountain, while an attendant, perhaps Aia, presents the goat for an offering. Gilgamesh and Ebani complete the group.

Porada: A nude, bearded hero and a bull-man wrestling; a worshipper carrying a kid before a god in an ascending posture. In the field: a fly and a goat-fish.
