Description

This Greek coin is a Stater from Lesbos, an island in the northeastern part of the Aegean Sea. It was struck in the late 6th to mid-5th century BCE. The obverse contains two calves’ heads face to face with an olive tree between them. The reverse is an incuse square (punch mark).
