Description | This Greek coin is a bronze of unknown denomination from Pergamum in modern day Turkey. It was struck during the 2nd century BCE. On the obverse is a profile of Zeus, Greek king of the gods, with his head wreathed in laurel. The reverse is a rising serpent with an owl on its back. There are indistinct Greek letters on either side. |
