Research Remarks
| Description | This Greek coin is a Drachm from Erythrai in Ionia, modern day Turkey. It was struck in the mid-4th century BCE. The obverse is a profile of young Hercules, son of Zeus and symbol of strength, clad in his typical lion skin. The reverse is a club and a bow in case beneath it. Between the two are the letters ΑΒΡΩΝ (Alpha Beta Rho Omega Nu) most likely the magistrate’s name. |
