Description | This Greek coin is a silver Didrachm from Selinus in Sicily. Sicily, as well as Italy, was part of Magna Graecia (Great Greece) that had Greek colonies. The obverse is a selinon leaf, a pun on the name of its minting city. The reverse is an incuse square (punch mark). |
