Description | This Greek coin is a silver Triobol from Macedonia in northern Greece. It was struck in the mid-5th century BCE under the rule of Perdiccas II, the son of Alexander I. The obverse contains a mounted warrior on a prancing horse holding two spears. The reverse is the fore part of a lion in a shallow incuse square. |
