Research Remarks

Description

Attic Black Glaze One-Handled Cup
Shape and Ornament - Convex body, disk foot. Fully glazed except for underside. On interior, an incised circle, off-center. On the underside of foot, three concentric bands of glaze, one thick and two thin around a central dot, all over a red wash.
Dimensions and Condition - H. 0.042 m.; w. with handle 0.151 m.; d. rim 0.122 m.; d. base 0.072 m. Light red clay, glossy black glaze with a blue sheen. Repaired from several fragments.
