Translation 1. Knossos women religious adj.? Month 1 Wheat 100 2. Amnisos women religious adj.? Month 1 Wheat 100 3. Phaistos women religious adj.? Month 1 Wheat 100 v.1 FN Wheat Comment The 'E' and 'F' series of tablets indicate grain consignments and rations at Knossos. There is no indication of whether the tablets record any payments or receipts; however, the former is more likely. Tablet E 777 records wheat rations for women at the palace. It is interesting to note that the women are described by ethnic adjectives (Knossos, Amnisos, Phaistos), except for the one on the reverse side, which is simply 'nurses'.
