The commodity most commonly offered to the divinities is oil, presumably olive oil; others are barley, figs, wine and honey. Few of the divinities mentioned in the tablets can be identified with certainty; they are perhaps local gods, associated with a particular shrine or cult whose name and practices died out at the end of the Minoan-Mycenaean era. However, there are names of gods and goddesses which survived to the Classical period, such as: Zeus (di-we), Hera (e-ra), Poseidon (po-se-da-o), Hermes (e-ma-a), Athena (a-ta-na) and Artemis (a-te-mi-to). Tablet Fp 13 records offerings to many dieties, most local, in the month of Lapatos.
