CORINTHIAN ARYBALLOS SHAPE AND ORNAMENT Spherical body, round bottom, vertical strap handle. Fully glazed. Body decorated with double-incised vertical lines which meet on the base. ACCESSORY COLORS Purple: traces on body. DIMENSIONS AND CONDITION h. 0.066 m.; d. body 0.057 m.; d. rim 0.033 m. Buff clay, dark brown glaze. Chipped and very worn. From Cerveteri. Ex Olcott Collection. Early Corinthian. About 625-600 B.C. -- Wisseman, Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum, Plate 5, 4. Italo-corinthian bombylios with fig-like segmentation. Sixth century, B.C. Sherical body, round bottom, vertical strap handle. Fully glazed. Body decorated with double-incised vertical lines which meet on the base. Early Corinthian.
