Published Description

ATTIC BLACK-FIGURE
Offset mouth, ribbon handles, flaring foot. Interior fully glazed. Concentric red bands on interior, uneven red band on exterior of rim. Handles reserved on insides, curve incisions on exterior. Two thin bands above rays on the lower body. Three concentric circles on the underside of bowl.
SUBJECT On the exterior: A-B, siren to right flanked by sphinxes. Details incised, crude rosette fillers.
ACCESSORY COLORS Purple: Wings.
From Vouvra. Attributed to the Polos Painter by D. Amyx. About 575-565 B. C. -- Wisseman, Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum, Plate 10, 3-4.
