Published Description

APULIAN GNATHIA AMPHORA Shape and Ornament Flaring mouth, flaring foot in two degrees. Glaze stops inside neck. Incised rib on body. Shoulder set off by tow bands, band of waves, and dots between two more lines. At the base of each handle is an inverted palmette. Uneven reserved band on upper foot. Underside of foot reserved, with incised concentric circles. Groove on rim of foot. ACCESSORY COLORS White: band of waves and inverted palmettes. Yellow: two bands, dots. From Milan.
