Research Remarks
Published Description | Campanian Red-Glaze Pyxis Shape and Ornament - Globular body, broad neck with flaring mouth, upright handles, slightly flaring base. Glaze band on neck. On body, thin zigzag, double lines above and below wide band. Lower body and edge of foot glazed. Wide band inside rim, denticulate pattern on upper rim. Tops of handles glazed. Lid glazed except for two reserved bands. Dimensions and Condition: H. 0.146 m.; d. body 0.157 m.; d. rim 0.105 m. H. lid 0.03 m.; d. lid 0.096 m. Buff-pink clay, brown-red glaze (misfired). Intact.
