Research Remarks

Description

CORINTHIAN KOTHON
Shape and Ornament - Round body, flaring foot horizontal strap handle. Interior completely glazed except for rim and center of base. On exterior rim, concentric red stripes and border of esses. Two thin bands in glaze around the lower body. Stripes on interior rim, upper edge of strap handle, edge of foot, and three concentric circles on underside of foot.
Dimensions and Condition - H. 0.071 m.; w. with handles 0.178 m.; d. body 0.145 m.; d. foot 0.091 m. Buff clay, dark brown glaze.
