Research Remarks

Description

ATTIC BLACK-FIGURE LID OF AMPHORA
Shape and Ornament: Lid with convex curve, slightly offset rim. Top of lid decorated with alternating thick (3) and thin (4) concentric glazed bands. The knob of the lid is glazed except for one reserved band.
Dimensions and Condition: H. 0.069 m.; d. lid 0.181 m. Light red clay, glossy black glaze. Two chips on rim restored.
